Looking Forward to 2022

  • by

This is an open letter to our colleagues.

How’s your year been so far? Do you realize there’s exactly 4 weeks to New Year’s Eve?

If you’re like most people, you’re getting caught up in the frenzy of holidays, family festivities and closing out the year at work. Before you know it, January 1st will be here, and a whole new year, a blank canvas, will be in front of you.

While it’s easy to get caught up in the holiday spirit, winter is also a time for slowing down, spending more time inside, and contemplating the year ahead.

What does 2022 hold in store for you?

Let me give you a little insight from a global perspective.  From numerology, 2022 is a “6” year.

The number 22 is a “master builder” number, meaning it’s associated with building a base or structure. So, the focus of next year will be all about getting back to normalcy and rebuilding our lives.

(Appropriately, the federal government has just past a significant infrastructure law that will create a whole new physical and socio-economic base for the U.S. economy.)

For those not familiar with numerology, the Greek mathematician Pythagoras, born around 569 B.C. is credited with coining the term – he recognized the numbers have frequency which he associated with musical notes. From modern physics, we know that everything vibrates at its own frequency, so numerology becomes a tool to help us understand and shape our own experience.

22’s energy can be powerful when it comes to work-related events. So, folks who think big and are willing to put in the work could see success and growth in this area.

But your future is not dictated by fate, unless you believe it to be so. I believe you are the captain of your own destiny, the creator of your unique future.

Are you prepared to make 2022 your best year ever?

For us at Sofia Capital Ventures, The Holiday Season is a profound opportunity to not only express gratitude to the many clients, brokers, lenders, and other professionals who have enriched our lives this year; it is also an opportunity to “Practice the Attitude of Gratitude. “

Now lots of gurus will tell you to practice gratitude because it enhances self-esteem and increases your sense of self-worth. However, even they are not giving you the entire picture.

A huge part of planning is goal-setting. And this is the time of year when many business professionals begin to make plans for the New Year. Yet, as we get caught up in the holiday rush and aftermath, we tend to lose sight of our goals.

In order to be worthwhile, a goal must not only be achievable, but also believable. If you don’t believe you can achieve it, don’t believe you deserve it, then you will do everything in your (subconscious) power to sabotage your efforts to move toward it. But, if you simply practice gratitude for your goal, you will form a profound relationship with your newly conceived future, almost to the point of obsession.

Since energy flows where attention goes, simply put your attention on your desires for the future. Be grateful for the newly imagined reality in which you have already achieved this desired objective. That’s it! Simply practicing the attitude of gratitude, consistently, persistently, without shame or self-judgement, will actually move you more rapidly toward the achievement of your every desire.

If you’re looking for a way to get started, here are some goals for 2022 that are consistent with the energy of the year:

  • Work toward something meaningful
  • Strengthen your existing relationships
  • Increase your social circle
  • Seek out stability

We at Sofia Capital Ventures, imagine a world filled with newly funded and newly constructed projects. We envision the lives we touch enriching hundreds and thousands of others.
